It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Gerard van Honthorst Adoration of the Shepherd...

What comes to mind when you think of Christmas? When we think of Christmas certain thoughts and images come to mind. Many of us think of familiar sights and sounds, flavors and colors, gifts and shopping, lights and cards. Still, some of us think about worship and

the birth of Jesus and the impact He had and still has on the world.

Here is a list of words that have been associated with Christmas:

  1. Advent
  2. Angels
  3. Bethlehem
  4. Census
  5. Epiphany
  6. Frankincense
  7. Hallelujah
  8. Immanuel
  9. Jesus
  10. Joseph
  11. Mary
  12. Marji
  13. Myrrh
  14. Nativity
  15. Star
  16. Savior
  17. Light of the world
  18. Candle Light Service

  1. May I add a word I associate with Christmas? – SAVIOUR.

I praise God for sending His Son to be my Saviour. Without His birth there could be no death, no resurrection, no salvation. Saviour is the sweetest name of all, after that of JESUS.

  2. I think of “Light of the World”. If you look around, there are extravagant light displays everywhere during the Christmas Season.
It seems as though people are searching for light and in an effert to find it, they’re creating their own light, but we know that the light they need is Jesus Christ!

    Thanks for the list Noel!

  3. Noel, thank you for stopping, liking, and following my blog. As I walked today, I realized it was looking a lot Christmas. Part of that is we do have a bit of snow here and it is cold, so it is not melting. I like the word list you created. I look forward to following your journey.

    Take care,

    Ivon
