Once a mother, always a mother. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers around the world, but most importantly, to my mother. Thanks mama for the nine months you have carried me. Thanks for all the sacrifices you have made. Thanks for the love, the warmth, and the care you have given us. I can still remember cuddling up in your lap when we were at church or at one of our neighbor’s house.When I was hungry you fed me. Even when we were down to the last slice of bread, you would break it in halves, one half for me, one half for Errol and nothing for you. You were my eyes when I could not see. You carried me when I could not walk. Thanks for the values you have passed on to me.Thanks mama, for making me feel special. Words cannot express how grateful I am that God had chosen you to be my mother. I am not much now, but I am who I am because of you and I am proud..Thanks

  1. A great testimonial and tribute to your mother, Noel. I see your love, honor and respect for your mother – and that is commendable. It is honoring God.

    Your giving God thanks for placing you into your mothers’ womb is also Honoring our Father who loves and cares for you dearly.

    Your slightest of phrase “I am not much now” gives me pause, my dear friend.
    For you are a “Child of God” who, knowing His best plan for your life – chose a very special woman to bring forth that life.

    If I knew nothing else of you but that you Honor God and Mother – that would be enough.

    1. Thanks so much, Michael. Your kind and sincere words are inspiring. I am blushing right now, and my eyes are watery. You hit a nerve. I am especially honored, but most of all blessed, to have a connection with such a person as you, my friend.

      I did not have to think about what to write before I wrote that post. The words came directly from my heart. They are exactly how I feel and more about my Mom, who is feeble now.

      As you may have realized, life was not a bed of rose growing up, but there was no shortage of love and comfort from Mama. She means the world to me, and I would not exchange her for any other.

        Please do me the respectful honor of wishing your Mother a happy and heart felt Mother’s Day for me, Noel. Remind her she has raised a loving son, a godly man and a noble and true friend to us all.
