God’s miracles do not come with drama.

You have often heard it said, “God works in mysterious ways.” And you have wished to see a miracle all your life. But the truth is, you want a miracle that brings drama.

Of course, you would like to see the dumb talk, the blind see, and the lame walk because those miracles would get a lot of attention, drama, and astonishment. But the miracles happening around you and in your community every day get no attention.

For example, you are traveling on the highway, obeying all the traffic laws, and observing the rules of a good driver. Then, suddenly an erratic driver cut you off. But through the grace of God, somehow you managed to escape with no incident, and instead of thanking the Lord for the miracle, you started to curse at the other driver.

All you wanted was to get your hands on the stupid driver. You fail to see the miracle because there was no drama surrounding it.

The young man, whom a struggling widow helped out when he was a child, decided he would help pay her monthly bills when he learned she was struggling.

Those are some of God’s mysterious works that happen daily in our communities. But you’ll never hear about them because God’s works are not surrounded by drama.

God has no limits

26 … with God, all things are possible.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 But many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first.

Matthew 19:26, 29, 30. KJV

New Beginnings

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Matthew 7:24-27–New International Version

Not Everyone Who Sits, Chats, and Eats With You Is A Friend

Jesus says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21). https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+7%3A21&version=KJV
Likewise, not everyone sitting, eating, and chatting with you is your friend.

People in your life are working overtime to bring you down. These people have negative energy rocking your boat; if you do not seek and find them and throw them overboard, your ship will sink.
Sometimes it does not take a lot to bring a person down. Often, all the enemy needs to do is plant one bad seed in your life, and before you know it, your whole world is topsy-turvy.
So, now is the time to offload the source of negative energy-you may be surprised that the culprits are those closest to you. But don’t let that deter you, do what is right for you. It’s either them or destruction.

According to Jonah 1:1-17, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jonah+1%3A1-17&version=KJV. When Jonah decided he would disobey and refused to go to Ninevah, he boarded a boat heading in the opposite direction, Tarshish. The Bible says the Lord sent a great wind on the sea, and a violent storm arose and threatened to break up the ship. The sailors were afraid, and each cried out to his god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship. But that didn’t help. Because the culprit was Jonah, and he was below the deck sleeping. Eventually, the sailors cast Jonah overboard, and the sea calmed.

So, my friends, if you have found the source of the negative energy destroying your life, do not hesitate to get rid of the excess baggage.

Should you Ignore your troubles and trust God?

We will never fully understand how God works. But you can rest assured that he always works in our best interest.

So often, situations occur in our lives against our expectations that we do not understand. And we get upset and even frustrated with God. But, little did we know that what seems unfavorable today is preparing us for a great experience tomorrow.

Job, one of the fathers of Faith, did not fully understand how God works either. But he was a faithful servant of God; even at the darkest moments in life and against the advice of those closest to him, he refused to blame God for his predicament.

So, my friends, the next time tribulation confronts you, look on the bright side or the bigger picture. For, “I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39).
