God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him. Therefore, whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
John 3:16-18–NIV

Gratitude
When we praise God, we not only honor Him, but we also show him.
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Psalm 150–NKJV
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
Seek first the Kindom of Heaven.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33–KJV
Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.”
Revelation 16:15–NLT
Walking in Jesus’ footsteps is not impossible.
Every Christian I know hopes to walk in Jesus’ footsteps. But walking in the steps of Jesus Christ is a mammoth task though not impossible. When you read and imagine how Jesus conducted himself during His time on earth, it seems anyone could dedicate their life to living like Jesus. Jesus said we would do what he did once he left and even more.
I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same and even greater works I have done because I am going to be with the Father.
John 14:12–NLT
So what do you think is holding us back? Until the Holy Spirit transforms us into a new creation, we are going to continue to fall short because the Bible says:
Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Corinthian 5:17–KJV
So only the new you can fit into Jesus’ footsteps. If Apostle Paul did, you could do it too. Of course, you may never be able to perform miracles. But that is not a requirement to be in the company of Jesus Christ.
God’s miracles do not come with drama.
You have often heard it said, “God works in mysterious ways.” And you have wished to see a miracle all your life. But the truth is, you want a miracle that brings drama.
Of course, you would like to see the dumb talk, the blind see, and the lame walk because those miracles would get a lot of attention, drama, and astonishment. But the miracles happening around you and in your community every day get no attention.
For example, you are traveling on the highway, obeying all the traffic laws, and observing the rules of a good driver. Then, suddenly an erratic driver cut you off. But through the grace of God, somehow you managed to escape with no incident, and instead of thanking the Lord for the miracle, you started to curse at the other driver.
All you wanted was to get your hands on the stupid driver. You fail to see the miracle because there was no drama surrounding it.
The young man, whom a struggling widow helped out when he was a child, decided he would help pay her monthly bills when he learned she was struggling.
Those are some of God’s mysterious works that happen daily in our communities. But you’ll never hear about them because God’s works are not surrounded by drama.
