The gatekeeper

I am hopeful you have heard it said many times before, “…For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him, they will ask the more,” (Luke 12:48 NKJV). Those words are supposed to be gospel truth. But in today’s world, they are not.

For example, the tax laws in the USA has many loopholes that the wealthy and well-connected often use to avoid paying their fair share of taxes while the rest of us have to pay our fair share or go to jail.

But, thanks be to God, we are sojourners. So, at some point in time, these repressive systems will end. And everybody will face the righteous Judge. On that day, there will be one entrance and one gatekeeper. Then every man will get paid according to his work and not according to loopholes and bribes. In fact, Jesus will be the gatekeeper, and he has made it perfectly clear. “
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me,” (John 14:6).
