There is an old fable that goes like this: “From the poor house to king’s house”. That is kind of what the apostle Paul meant when he said, “You are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir” Galatians 4:7).
Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, God’s eternal plan has always been to adopt us into His family. He does this by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that He finds immense pleasure doing this, (Read Ephesians 1:5). That is the reason He sent Jesus to break the Yoke that binds us.
I thank God that I am not desperate, alone, insecure, unwanted and without an identity. I am an heir of God and co-heir with Christ. God has adopted me into His family because He wants me to be a part of His own. He wants me to have the same rights and privileges that belong to a son who has come into His inheritance.
I am not the outsider, the world thinks I am. I am a child of a King who owns everything. I have His love, attention, presence, acceptance, and His name. I own what He owns. His riches are mine, His other children are my brothers and sisters and His home is where I belong.
What a sweet testimony Noel. We would all do well to remember this throughout our day. Enjoyed reading it and may be back to read again. God Bless, SR

Hello S.R! Is not wonderful to know that you are adopted into the family of Go? Sometimes I have to remind my self that I am a child of a king. I am a Royal Priesthood. All I need to do is hold onto God’s unchanging hand and enjoy His presence.
Thanks so much for your kind words. God blesses.

Drusilla, the story of the prodigal son is a great example of where we were in the past and where we are now–joint heir with Christ.
Thanks for stopping. God blesses.

As a child I longed to discover I had been adopted, because then I would know that at one time in my life – before I became so evil – someone had wanted me. That eluded me . . .
. . . but imagine my unbounded JOY when, just a couple of days after becoming a blood-bought child of God, I was asked to read Romans 8:14-17 in a Bible study group. The others thought there was something wrong with me, but I was soooooooooooooo thrilled to know that the PERFECT Father God had adopted me into His own family! Not only had He adopted me, but I was a joint-heir with Christ!
What an incredibly amazing God!!!

Indeed! What if we all take a minute or two and think about what our heavenly Father has done for us. One of the problems the human race has, is, many of us do not know who we are. We tend to see ourselves as the world sees us, but our heavenly father sees us differently. He sees us as one of His own, but many of us do not know that.
Some months ago a homeless man living under a bridge discovered that one of his relatives died and left him millions in the bank. The man who had been homeless for years was confused but elated. He truly thought no one remembered him, yet one of his own made him a millionaire and he did not know it. That is somewhat similar to what God has done for us.
Thanks so much, Angela. Your comment has blessed my soul immensely.
God blesses.
