Jesus loves the little children

Jesus’ overall goal was to save souls for the Kingdom of God. But He loved children.

Matthew 19 depicts an exciting interaction between Jesus and little children. The Bible says Jesus departed Galilee and entered the coast of Judaea. A multitude followed him, and he healed them.

Then the people brought several small children unto Jesus that He may lay hands on them and pray. His disciples objected. But Jesus over-ruled them and said: ” Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Christian Encouragement

Life will have difficulties, but Jesus, who loves us more than life, (“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends, John 15:13.”), is greater than any difficulty anyone might experience.

John 14:27 New International Version (NIV)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Once a mother, always a mother. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers around the world, but most important, to my mother.
Thanks, mama for the nine months you have carried me. Thanks for all the sacrifices you have made.
Thanks for the love, the warmth, and the care you have given me. I can still remember cuddling up in your lap when we were at church or one of our neighbor’s house.
When I was hungry, you fed me. And when we were down to the last slice of bread, you would break it into halves; one half for me, one half for my brother and nothing for you.
You were my eyes when I could not see. You carried me when I could not walk. Thanks for the values you have passed on to me.

Why Do We Celebrate Christmas on December 25?

Christian history reveals quite a bit of controversy over the actual date of Jesus’ birth, raising the question, why do we celebrate Christmas at all?
