Are you ready for the blessing God has for you?

Every Christian has at least one elusive thing on the bucket list that you hope God would help you check off. You spent hours in prayer asking God to bless you with this or that. But you never ask God to prepare you for the blessing your heart desire.

I am sure we have all heard of or know of a situation, secular and non-secular where at least one person got promoted to a position for which he or she was ready due to lack of preparation. And usual these situations never work out favourable for either side.

The parable of the lost son which Jesus told in Luke 15:11-20 is a good example of an individual who received a gift (blessing) he was not ready to handle. The young kid lived a sheltered life up to that point. Still yet he thought he could manage anything the world threw at him. But he was wrong. The Bible says the poor kid squandered his inheritance and ended up eating among swines.

So my friends, instead of spending lots of time asking God to bless you with whatever you need so badly. Spend some time and ask him to prepare you first. So that when the blessing comes you’ll know how to conduct yourself.

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

Christian Hypocrisy – Are You in Danger?

Christian hypocrisy is widespread in the church with the negative result of alienating unbelievers. Learn to avoid the sin of being a religious phoney.
